STORMY WEATHER COULDN’T STOP ROTAX THRILLS

Motorsport Media reports:

Killarney’s Rotax karters endured a stormy day at Killarney on Saturday 16 September, but it was never enough to prevent them from delivering some spectacular Max Challenge racing.

Jason Coetzee beat Sebastian Boyd two heats to one to take DD2 Gearbox honours for the day, while Jaden Jacobs held Reza Levy and Rafe Tayler off for third; Jared and Michael Jordan sandwiched second man Conor Hughes in the Masters top three. Robert Peche enjoyed an encouraging run to fourth in Masters from Andrew Thomas and Niel Lambrechts.

Tate Bishop was back in a kart and right up to speed as he dominated Senior Max. He left it to Matthew Wadeley, Oliver Roach, and Ethan Stier to share out the second places with Julius Schwager and Zac Laden in chase. Rookie Keagan Beaumont won the high school Junior Max for the day after sharing out the wins with Jordon Wadeley and William Marshall in a fine display of racing. Ethan Deacon followed from James Nash and Cole Hewetson.

In primary school action, Keagan Beaumont took the opening two under-13 Mini Max wins from Michael Danks and Aiden Beaumont before Franco Bensch appeared out of nowhere to take the final. He ended fourth overall from Nicolas Lennox and Matthew Roach. Michael O’Mahoney took two under-11 Micro Max wins to Liam Wharton’s one to take the day, as Jayden van der Merwe, Zac Hindley, Kiyaan Reddi and Ruan Lewis followed.

First race winner Michael O’Mahoney took the overall baby Bambino win after doing enough to ward second and third race winner Yaqeen Gamieldien off. Radhi Harris held Carter Cedras off for third with Caleb Lingeveldt and Slater Smith in chase. Thanks to Abri de Bruyn for the stunning picture.
