05 Jul RIP RICHARD ‘DICK’ SHUTTLE Posted at 08:19h in Latest News by editor RIP RICHARD ‘DICK’ SHUTTLE It was with a feeling of profound loss that we learned of the passing this weekend of Dick Shuttle, chairman of the Karting Management Group at Motorsport South Africa. Born and raised in Windsor in Berkshire, multi-talented Dick was more than an engineer and a motorsport enthusiast. A former chairman of MSA’s Motorcycle Racing Commission, he also acted regularly as a race official. A humanitarian and an eternal optimist (his motto was ‘Glass always half full’), his contribution to motorsport over many decades was immense. Dick’s wife Glynda also passed away earlier this year; our thoughts and prayers are with his children Darran and Samantha and their families at this very difficult time.
