RIP TONY TAYLOR
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to tear great wounds in the fabric of our society and our sport, we are saddened at the loss of yet another motorsport stalwart.
Tony Taylor was a constant presence in local motorsport over several decades, initially through his involvement with the Kyalami Marshals Association and the Sports Car Club and later, with his wife Shelley-Anne, as part of the ST Promotions organisation that organised circuit racing events in the Northern Regions.
Tony also regularly acted as a motorsport official and often served as a panel member on MSA hearings; he was a outstanding example of the ‘back-room boys’, without whose dedicated behind-the-scenes efforts motorsport events simply would not happen, and he will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Shelley-Anne, their children and grandchildren at this tremendously sad time.
