.The Killarney Motor Show powered by the City of Cape Town and supported by Masterdrive, Alert Engine Parts, Wingfield Motors and Motul, on Sunday 30 October features all-day entertainment for the whole family with new cars and motorcycles on display from dozens of brands, test drives in selected models, racing cars and bikes, hundreds of painstakingly detailed customised and stance cars, tyre-smoking drifting and spinning, extreme passenger rides and breath-taking stunts, hundreds of vendor stalls, food courts and bars galore and even a fun fair with rides for children of all ages.
But this is, beyond a doubt, the star of the 2022 Killarney Motor Show:
You are looking at the crème de la crème de la crème of exotic supercars, the one and only Pagani Huayra in South Africa, one of only 100 in existence. It’s powered by a six litre, twin turbo Mercedes-AMG V12 rated at 720 horsepower and 1000 Newton metres of torque. Thanks to a chassis and body moulded almost entirely in carbon fibre it weighs only 1280kg; it’ll hit 100km/h from a standing start in less than three seconds and go on to 337km/h.
This astonishing piece of automotive artwork comes to us courtesy of Supercar Cellar Storage, and will be on display in its own cordoned-off area in the Joubert Pits; it’s almost certainly the only opportunity you will ever have to get this close to one of the world’s most exclusive cars.
