KILLARNEY FLOODED IN HUGE STORM

The huge storms and torrential rain that hit Cape Town on the weekend of 27 June flooded large sections of the Killarney International Raceway facility and left still more strewn with mud and stones after rainwater cascaded across the circuit, as you can see from the gallery, taken by Rhonette Rossouw.

To their eternal credit, however, after heroic efforts on Monday and Tuesday, Leon Corbitt and his small maintenance crew were able to clear the circuit of rubble and sweep it clean by late on Tuesday, ready for pre-booked testing on Wednesday morning.

You guys rock!
