RIP MUSTAPHA INNES MURUDKER

Sadly, another motorsport icon has moved on to Final Parc Ferme. Mustapha Innes Murudker, a pioneering figure in South African motorsport, passed away on Friday 5 December at the age of 75.

Innes Murudker made history when he won the 1989 Western Province Rally Championship, competing against some of the top names in the sport, and proving what determination and skill can achieve.

His passion, dedication and sportsmanship were instrumental in building rallying in the Western Cape into the successful series it is today, inspiring countless drivers, enthusiasts, and friends over the decades.

More than that, however, he will be remembered as a true gentleman, humble in victory, gracious in defeat, and unfailingly generous in spirit.

He also served as a Cape Town City Councillor and later as a director on the Board of Directors of Motorsport South Africa.

We extend our sincere condolences to the Murudker family; he will be sorely missed.
