The image flickers, and then the screen goes black. Rob Weightman, the supremely talented videographer who made motorsport videos into an art form and made us all look good, has passed away on Tuesday 25 November.
He leaves behind three decades of memories that are still re-visited and enjoyed whenever petrolheads get together to reminisce about those magic moments in South African motorsport – because Rob was there to catch them and make them live forever.
As will his memory; we extend our sincere condolences to his wife Lynn and daughter Kate. He will not be forgotten.
